The Black Tee is a Community-based mentorship program, to empower underrepresented youth by using the game of golf as a vehicle to build confidence, spark creativity, and promote mental wellness, while expanding access to new opportunities and lifelong skills.

At The Black Tee Golf Society (BTGS), we pride ourselves on a unique approach to mentorship that extends beyond the formative years. Our commitment is not just to impact one generation, but to build enduring relationships that inspire our young participants to return as mentors themselves. This creates a powerful cycle of growth, support, and leadership that transcends generations. Our culture is designed to foster lifelong connections, and as our mentees transition into adulthood, they become role models for the next generation. We recognize that unlike basketball courts, golf courses remain physically and financially inaccessible for many underserved youth. This is where BTGS steps in, breaking down these barriers by providing direct access to real golf courses, equipment, and professional instruction. We bring the game of golf, with all its life-changing opportunities, to those who need it most. We believe in the transformative power of golf and are committed to making it accessible to all, regardless of their background or circumstances.
The Black Tee Golf Society Community Golf Events (Nationwide)
Our pop-up events bring the game of golf directly to underrepresented communities—no country club membership required. These one-day experiences are designed to introduce youth to the sport in a fun, inclusive, and welcoming environment. Each event features free golf lessons, mentorship sessions, and community bonding activities, giving participants access to equipment, instruction, and inspiration they might not otherwise receive. Whether it’s their first time swinging a club or they’re building on past lessons, every youth leaves feeling empowered, supported, and part of something bigger.
